Brittany Williams, MSW, LCSW, BC-TMH
Brittany Williams is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Mindful Care. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Social Work from the University of South Carolina.
In her practice, Brittany believes the most important part of patient care is "meeting the client right where they are. I provide a non-judgmental, patient, supportive, and mutually respectful environment where you are able to practice self-expression. I want to help you dig beyond what may be coming up on the surface, build on your skills to deal with the root of the problem, and equip you with the tools you need to maintain better mental and emotional health."
What is the most inspiring part of your career?
The most inspiring part of my career is knowing that the growth and changes I can help a client achieve is just one step closer to living in a more healed and whole society.
Why did you choose to specialize/work in mental healthcare?
I chose to specialize in mental healthcare to be in a field that I knew would constantly challenge me to grow as well as be a rewarding journey along the way.
What are your interests outside of work?
I'm a huge sports fanatic! If I were not a therapist, I would definitely be a sports commentator, particularly in women's sports to continue to push for equality and visibility of women.
What’s the last book you read?
The 7 Seven Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen Covey. I love his work and philosophy and often use the book every few years as a reset and way to get grounded in my own life. Highly recommend with the accompanying workbook.
