What is the most inspiring part of your career?
It feels very inspiring to me to be able to see the positive changes I am able to help my patients create. It feels wonderful to see my patients go from suffering to flourishing after working with them to get them feeling better.
Why did you choose to specialize/work in mental healthcare?
I have always been interested in mental health since I was in high school. I myself have dealt with mental health struggles, and I feel like my personal experiences coupled with my professionalism and knowledge meant that psychiatry was a perfect fit for me.
What are your interests outside of work?
I enjoy bike-riding, spending time with friends and family, listening to music, and learning new recipes to cook.
What’s the last book you read?
The last book I read was Salt Fat Acid Heat by Samin Nosrat, a very beautiful and approachable cook book for both the master culinary chef as well as the at-home cook.
Thank you for taking the time to read my biography! I look forward to meeting with you and helping you to feel your best.
