About Frank

New York

Frank is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Mindful Care. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology, and a Master of Social Work.

In his practice, Frank believes the most important part of patient care is "firmly believing that patients must receive treatment that is tailored to their specific needs. Every patient is unique, complex, and presents with a desire to change. It is my responsibility as a helping professional to gain an in-depth understanding of my patients so that I can support them in their change process."

What is the most inspiring part of your career?

I am inspired by my client's courage and bravery. Their willingness to share their life story to a therapist and challenge themselves in ways they never have before. I learn so much from every client I work with and am humbled and grateful to be granted their permission to be a part of their change process.

Why did you choose to specialize/work in mental healthcare?

Throughout my life, I was exposed to the suffering of those with mental health issues. This exposure fostered a desire to help those struggling. I started to realize the positive impact I could have just by expressing care, compassion, and empathy towards those struggling. To be of greater service, I decided to pursue a profession in mental healthcare.

What are your interests outside of work?

I enjoy travel and am interested in learning about different cultures. I am also interested in nutrition, fitness, and neurobiology.

What’s the last book you read?

Waking The Tiger- Peter Levine
