What is the most inspiring part of your career?

The most inspiring part of my career was when I was able to create a video for the public to teach social medial followers about the differences between the common cold and flu, which was a relevant topic during the 2018 flu season when I worked at Rediclinic.

Why did you choose to specialize/work in mental healthcare?

When I worked in primary care, my passion for mental health grew when I collaborated with my patients to meet their mental health goals for the following conditions: depression, anxiety, insomnia, ADHD, PTSD, and alcohol dependence, which motivated me to go back to school to get my psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner to increase my competence in not only treating my patients physically but mentally as well.

What are your interests outside of work?

Shopping, massages, traveling, catch-up dates with friends, spending time with family, watching movies, attending and listening to Educational Seminars, and attending weddings, and barbecues.

What’s the last book you read?

Wellspring of Words by Dr. Denise A. Williams
