What happens during my first appointment with Mindful Care?

Your first appointment at Mindful Care is designed to set the foundation for your individualized care plan. If you’re pursuing therapy, your visit will typically begin with a Biopsychosocial (BPS) assessment, which helps the clinician gain a comprehensive understanding of your mental health history, current challenges, and goals. For those seeking medication management, your initial appointment will include a psychiatric evaluation to assess your symptoms and determine the most effective treatment options.
During this session, the clinician will take the time to listen to your concerns, answer your questions, and develop a personalized care plan tailored to your needs. This collaborative approach ensures that your treatment is both effective and aligned with your goals for mental health and well-being.

Do you offer medication during urgent care visits?

Yes, medication can be offered during psychiatric visits but only following a psychiatric evaluation. The decision to prescribe medication is based on the provider’s assessment and your overall health to determine if it’s appropriate to proceed with specific treatments.
